Community Rules

💬 What to post

• Cat graphics & video. Photos, clips, GIFs and art — keep them cat‑themed.
• Short‑form chat. Quick thoughts, updates, questions, and replies ("hisses") are what Mewster is for. Keep it punchy.
• Be yourself. One account per cat household; don't impersonate other users, staff, or public figures.

🦁 Be a good cat to others

• No harassment or bullying. Disagree all you like, but attack ideas, not people. No pile‑ons, stalking, or targeted abuse.
• No hate speech. Nothing that demeans people over race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, sex, gender, orientation, disability, or age.
• No threats or violence. Don't threaten, incite, or glorify harm against anyone.
• Respect privacy. Don't post other people's private info (addresses, phone numbers, etc.) — yours or theirs.

🚫 Keep it clean & legal

• No adult or graphic content. No nudity, sexual content, gore, or shock media. This is an all‑ages‑13+ cat spot.
• No illegal content. Nothing promoting illegal activity, and absolutely no content that exploits or endangers minors or animals.
• Respect copyright. Post your own work, or cat media you're allowed to share. Credit creators where you can.
• No spam or scams. No bulk advertising, link‑dumping, follow‑farming, phishing, or deceptive links.

🛡️ Moderation & reporting

• New‑user media is reviewed. Until a cat has their first media post approved, posts carrying an image or video wait in a staff queue before going live. After that, they post freely.
• See something off? Report it. Use the ⚑ report link on any post to flag it for staff. Reports are private.
• Staff have the final say. Moderators may remove posts or accounts that break these rules. Repeated or serious violations can mean a ban.

These rules can change as the community grows. Big changes will be posted on Mewster.
